Brenley's Gratitudes #141-203

So I wrote a long post and thought I saved it to drafts, but alas, I did not. I'm so behind! To be honest, I've verbalized many gratefuls recently thinking I should write them down but I didn't, so I should probably really be almost to 200.. but oh well! Here we go...

I'm grateful:

#141- that I was able to finish block 1 quickly.

#142- that I was able to have a couple weeks off between block 1 and 2.
#143- for camping. It is so nice to be out in nature and escape the heat of the valley.
#144- for camping with friends! I'm so glad we started the tradition to get together every year since graduation! Even though 5 years isn't a lot, we've been consistent and have really made it happen.

#145- Eric's parents let us borrow their truck to go camping and we got to sleep in the bed of the truck under the stars.
#146- Presley had so much fun camping! It was fun to see her enjoying the outdoors and being good!
(This is her with Alix's husband, Ben)

#147- Presley was good with our friends' kids! She really loves kids!
(She willingly went in there with them and sat down for this picture!)

#148- we didn't get sprayed by skunks while camping! There were like 6 skunks walking around our campsite every night and they'd get up close and personal! So happy they went their merry little way with their stench intact.
#149- I always leave the campouts each year being so grateful for Eric in my life and the incredible husband he is, and the wonderful relationship we have.
#150- that Eric gave me the VIRGINIA quarter for our last anniversary!
#151- that we were able to save monies to be able to actually go on our trip.
#152- that our plane(s)- all 4 of them- took off and landed safely to and from where we were going.
#153- soooo grateful Eric drove the rental car the whole time!
#154-155- I told Eric how grateful I was that he drove!
#156- the weather was absolutely (and unusually) lovely the whole time we were in Virginia/Washington DC. August is usually the absolute worst month to go and it was seriously perfect weather!

#157- that we love traveling together.

#158- that we have the opportunity to travel as often as we do.
#159- that we were able to see the capitol of our great country.

#160- I saw petrified wood from Holbrook at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History!

(It says Holbrook, Arizona by my hand. :))

#161- for the beautiful architecture we saw. It was very pleasing to the eye!

#162- for the chance to see George Washington's House! I absolutely loved being there and everything we go to see there!
(That's George's house behind us!)

#163- that we can feel the spirit and sacredness of places our founding fathers were.
#164- for the chance to see the changing of the guard of the tomb of the unknown soldier in Arlington Cemetery. Awesome, powerful experience! I was very touched.

#165- for the men and women who fight and give their lives for the protection and freedom of our great country.
#166- Eric was so happy and excited to see every little thing during the whole trip. Is eyes lit up and he was just so thrilled to be there! It was so fun to see. :)

#167- there was only ONE open seat on the flight home and it happened to be next to Eric and I so we got to have the row to ourselves on the flight home. Second time that has happened to us and we absolutely loooove snuggling and stretching out on the flight home!
#168- we found an apartment to move into!
#169- we get to move out!
#170- only 2 weeks until we get the keys to our apartment!
#171- I was able to purchase and redo a bedframe/night stand set.. I'm excited to see it all put together and finished!
#172- I've started Block 2.
#173- I got 100% on my math test on the first day of class! woohoo!
#174- I get to go to a hospital for block 2, instead of a nursing home!
#175- My clinicals are on Thursdays instead of Sundays- yay!
#176- Eric started his Master's program at ASU for his Masters of Public Policy.
#177- I was able to help Eric in one of his classes about healthcare policies by explaining medical terms to him and I actually knew what I was talking about which was cooool and exciting!
#178- for Jessica, our photographer who took pictures of us for half price for our adoption stuff! She is so fun and talented and I can't wait to see all of the pictures!
#179- my hair is looking good.
#180- that Amanda, a friend in our ward, did amazing things to my hair so I didn't have to look trashy while Holli is out of commission makin a baybeh.

#181- that Kelcie and Taylor Robinson let us stay at their place for two nights in DC. It was fun to see her again and to get to know Taylor better. They are a cute, fun couple and were so hospitable! They both made us yummy food and we played some fun and hilarious games. They were just really nice to spend time with!

#182- Eric looked so freakin hott when we were getting pictures taken. Fo' real!

#183- for everyone who took care of Presley for us while we were gone. You guys rock. :)
#184- the chance we had to go to the Washington DC temple- it was beautiful and amazing! The Celestial Room has been one of my favorites I've seen!

#185- the chance I had to get to know Shar.
#186- that Shar introduced mom to Herbalife.
#187- that mom is getting healthy and feeling good about herself!
#188- that mom has found a healthy way to loose weight as well as a healthier way to live. She's looking great!
#189- the times I was able to stop in for a shake before school and visit with Shar. She was truly an amazing woman!
#190- that I feel great drinking shakes!
#191- that I actually "eat" (drink) breakfast now, which is healthier!

#192- that our new apartment has a 24hr gym! I really am determined to use it and try to get to a point where I enjoy working out.
#193- that Eric loves shopping. He is so funny and like a girl best friend, but my husband at the same time. He love trying on clothes and showing off in the dressing room. And dannnnnng does he look good!
#194- that Eric is good at remembering family prayers in the morning and at night.
#195-196- I told Eric how grateful I was he continues to make the bed in the mornings.
#197- that we are close to being certified to adopt! We only have one more (15 page) document and our home study to do! WoopWoop!
#198- that Jeff seems to like Presley now. He like really hated her before and then all of a sudden he likes her!
#199- for FaceTime. It is fun to be able to see who you're talking to and to get to look at them instead of just hear their voice.

#200!!- I have earned a second bead and got caught up a little to the rest of you fools! :)
#201- three words. Ben's Chili Bowl. Go there! yummmmmmm!

#202- I'm grateful for anyone who actually took the time to read all of these gratefuls! Kudos to you!

#203- Oh, and I'm grateful for this little grasshopper guy who hugged my hand!

  1. Thanks for the travelog. It was a great reminder of when I was there lots of years ago when I met Kip when his mission ended.
