Hello Everyone!
Hello Family,
This is the new "Mom" family challenge:
Title: Gratitude Bead Challenge
Objective: Family members will develop and/or strengthen the spiritual gift of gratitude.
Activity: Family members are welcome to participate in the following gratitude bead challenge:
Individual Goal: Each person accepting the challenge will work from June 15 - Nov 15 to participate in 1000 gratitude moments.
Family Goal: The family goal will be 10,000 moments of Gratitude.
Personal Reward: For every 100 moments submitted you will receive one bead (to be placed on key chain, bracelet, necklace, car mirror pendant, dreadlock braid, etc.). Email Mom for gratitude Bead to be sent to you.
Family Reward: receive a special group-presentation at the Yousko-Thomas Hacienda at Thanksgiving 2013.
Details:
Gratitude moments will be posted on a blog with number attached: (I.e., Debra #231 "I am so grateful that I have a husband that reminds me about things.")
1 moment= When a person posts their feelings about something they are grateful for
2 moments=When a person actually states out loud to someone what they are grateful for
3 moments = when a person writes to someone about their moment of gratitude (email, text, letter)
RULE: A person cannot repeat their own moment of gratitude. Someone else may.
Extra Information:
1. Each person will choose and submit their own color selection for beads. If you have several colors you like - that is fine. Colors due by June 15.
2. If a person falls behind in their gratitude moments someone else may earn moments on their behalf. Then they will send that person a bead of their own color. For example, Eric could send his own blue bead to me to go in with my collection of red beads.
The goal for each person is 10 beads.
3. Yes, the over achieves may earn more than 10 beads.
4. No, you are not required to participate and you will not be frowned upon if you do not. We are just "grateful" to have you as part of our family.
5. Parents may post for children if they want to participate.
6. No, you do not have to post a novel, but you do have to post for each number.
7. Appropriate visual aid posts are welcomed.
