- Answers to prayers. This year has been a struggle for me but I feel closer to The Lord more the ever. With out a doubt I know that when I pray he hears me. Lately he's been answering my prayer almost immediately after I pray. It's been really neat to witness. On the nights that are really bad I ask to fall asleep quickly and I do. I've asked to have a good day and I do. I've asked for Jeff to have patience with me and he does. Those are just a few.
-I'm grateful to have fun memories of growing up. Here are a few:
•Frazer and Spicy's wedding after dad did a family home eve. On the importance of marriage and keeping your self pure before marriage.
•how I wasn't suppose to talk to boys on MSN chat and I would anyways but I always confessed to mom right after because I felt guilty because I wanted to be honest. I got grounded every time.
•Thursday night in the park performances at Pioneer Park during the summer time.
•tape recording Chelsea being the devil on Heathers Talk Girl recorder because mom never believed us when we told her how horrible Chelsea was when she and dad would leave.
•I always remember mom and dad leaving to go to the temple often.
•picking flower seeds for Gma and Gpa. I think I got paid a dollar for every milk gallon I filled up. And then I would walk across the street to Ed's grocery store and buy a dollars worth of chick-o-sticks...they were 5 cents each.
• the hundreds of times Colorado our hooker cat had babies and mom and dad would make us sit in front of Ed's giving them away.
•Dad built me and Heather the most amazing fort out of card board boxes in our backyard in Taylor (the house with the cemetery of all our dead pets) that was the first time I saw a child of the earth bug.
•catching horny toads and frogs during the summers
•waking up EVERY Saturday to moms music lessons.
•when dad asked me to mow the lawn so I put on a bikini (I Borrowed it from a neighbor since I wasn't allowed to wear them) and went out and mowed the lawn and he never asked me to mow again.
•the Grand opening of the book store. I had to dress up as the stupid elephant in the middle of summer.
•heather and I doing dishes together in Taylor.
•playing UNO and Yatzi in front of the swamp cooler in the Taylor house.
• At our Taylor house, mom and me coming home for lunch everyday and we would watch some soap opera together.
•Dad taking me to some of his football trips when I was little.
•daddy daughter dates. We went and saw Desney on Ice and Little Mermaid in the theater. (Those are the earliest 2 I can remember)
•mom and dad had us all do yard work all day and said if we did it then they would take us the see The Lion King in Showlow.... We slaved away and drove 45min and It was sold out.
•while mom was doing lessons we weren't allowed in the house, I remember drinking out of the hose when we were thirsty. I still crave summertime hose water. :)
•playing on our swing set but never being able to swing to high because it could flip over since dad didn't cement it to the ground. It was always exciting to see how high we could get that swing set off the ground.
•indoor water fight
•The Christmas Eve talent show with moms side of the family every year.
•playing library or school out on the back porch in snowflake
•putting Gourds in our shirts so we had boobies.
•Chelsea and her amazing winking... I still remember dad sitting there teaching you over and over again in your high hair while he was feeding you.
•how confused I was when Chelsea came home from the hospital and was a girl. I'm grateful she is.
•moms funny threats to us when we were driving in the car.
•Ex: "if you don't be quiet I'm going to sit on your face."
•listening to talks on tapes in the car: John Bytheway, Troy Dunn, Bill Cosby, etc.
•praying to start the grey van
•how mom kept trying to put me and Brenley in a room together to figure out how to get along but it never lasted very long because we were to much alike.
•How Heather could share a room with anyone and get along perfectly.
•bunk bed torture in the Taylor house... Enough said I'm sure you girls remember.
•Goosey Lucy at the log cabin house out in the middle of nowhere. I also remember the Sunday that she didn't wake us up on time for church. After church we were all worried and on our way home he stopped at the gate to our property. We said a prayer to find her and dad had us stay in the car. I remember him walking quite A ways up a hill where the ditch was. A couple min later he walked back with her breast feathers and told us a coyote got her. We were sad but I remember knowing that the holy Ghost guided dad right to her.
•moms amazing talent of coming up with chore charts.... My fav. Was the money gum ball machine.
•I remember when mom was on bed rest with Spencer and I would make her instant oatmeal. For some reason I remember her being in a bed or couch bed in the upstairs living room that was near the kitchen... I don't know if that is true but that's how I remember it.
